An assistant that understands your Saudi dialect: what it handles well, and where it still struggles
Updated
Reem reads and replies in the Arabic you write or speak, including Saudi dialects, and in English. Write the way you talk or send a voice note; she answers in your language and in a dialect close to yours, and you can ask her to switch. Heavy slang, Arabic written in Latin letters (Arabizi) and noisy voice notes still trip her up sometimes.

How does Reem decide which dialect to answer in?
In this order:
- What you asked for. Say "talk to me in Hijazi" and she remembers it.
- How you write, or where you said you're from.
- Your phone's country code , if nothing else tells her. A Saudi number starts in Najdi; Kuwaiti, Emirati and Egyptian numbers start in their own dialect.
She answers in the language you used in that message. Write in English and she replies in English; mix the two and she follows the one you used most.
What does she handle well?
- Everyday Arabic in text, the way people type it. For example, a Saudi request like «ابي جدول مذاكرة للقدرات مدته ٤ اسابيع، وعندي ساعة وحدة باليوم».
- Voice notes. She transcribes them and also listens to the audio itself, so tone and words the transcript missed still count. Long notes are handled in parts.
- Forwarded voice notes. Forward one and she tells you what it says in a sentence or two, with the exact words if it's short.
- Arabic and English in one message, like «هو ايه الفرق بين الـ resume والـ cover letter؟ اشرحيلي باختصار».
- Tasks, not just chat: a hotel search, a worksheet as a Word file, a reminder at the time you said, all in your dialect.

Where does she still struggle?
- Arabizi (Arabic written in Latin letters and numbers). She often gets it, but not reliably. Arabic letters work better.
- Very local words and new slang. If her answer misses, rephrase or say what you meant.
- Noisy or very long voice notes. If she can't transcribe one, she says so instead of guessing. Very large recordings are read from the transcript only.
- Matching your exact dialect. She stays close to yours, not identical. Ask her to switch if it sounds off.
