My Place Hotel

It’s very clear the owner wants to do everything to avoid investing in this hotel. Standard of rooms are really poor and require a major up grade. Electrics exposed no lamps on the bedside cabinets. In fact the first room they allocated us the balcony door the glass was shattered very dangerous really. We complained and my wife was told the owner knew of the problem so why put us in there. 1970s hairdryer taped up likely the pipe connected to it was split also an outside light fitted over the mirror in the bathroom room. Yes location is ok but underneath us was motorbikes on just eat etc delivering food until the early hours and the rubbish on the street also was very evident as it seems to be in London a really dirty city. In the dining room exposed ceiling roses and wiring. When we arrived back at the hotel there was a note on the door back in 5 minutes so locked out, you have to hand your key card in when you go out not the usual. Decor and cleaning was poor. Breakfast was toast and cereal they brought pastries out individually this again to me to save money. Jams etc where all in little pots bread not covered up. Yes tea and coffee with orange juice was ok. Only one spot light working in the room I can see why it gets a low rating. Bathrooms need a refurbishment doors slam on restrictors fitted. To be honest not why H&S have not inspected this hotel. Outside is ok it’s well presented at the back. I would look for better accommodation
