This is an honest review left by someone who stays in Bangkok for an extended period every winter and summer. After staying at Soi 11 hotels, it had become a jjajang-curry district over the years, so I looked for another place and came across Jasmine City Hotel, Maybe it’s because it’s the off-season, There was a slight hint of curry powder and the jjajang smell wasn’t too strong, so for now it still feels close to being a curry-free zone and a jjajang-free zone (I have a feeling that the statute of limitations in this area probably won’t last that long either.) Mostly Japanese people and some Koreans are visible Reservation & Check-in Since I got burned once by the evil Agoda exchange rate, I’ve never used hotel booking apps, so I booked directly through the hotel’s official website As a direct reservation benefit, got a room upgrade, a welcome drink, and a 15% discount on food and beverages (pretty nice perks) The check-in time wasn’t slow This part has no deduction out of five stars Concierge & Desk (G floor) A lobby of an unexperienced(?) Mini-sized The lobby is unusually small for a hotel of that star rating, so if there are people checking in, it can be somewhat uncomfortable to sit in the lobby Most importantly, there is the inconvenience that there is no restroom on the relevant floor, so you have to take the elevator to the L floor Unless you’re the kind of person who has a habit of spacing out in the lobby, it’s not really something that would be too uncomfortable (This part is partially compensated by the condition of the L floor.) As the disappointing aspect, deduct one out of five stars Room condition In good condition, clean and well maintained...It cleans well too The amenities, washing machine, microwave, and other facilities were well equipped, and the air conditioner was positioned so it didn’t directly face the bed, which I think is fitting for a hotel-level place It feels like it combines the atmosphere of a luxurious hotel with the conveniences of a residence However, the shower filter discolors severely no matter how many times you shower, so it must be used I think the water quality aspect is an area that urgently needs management appropriate to its star rating The room size, condition of management, and cleanliness are all five stars, but the water quality, which urgently needs improvement, is deducted one star L lobby The lobby floor located on the 10th floor Personally, I think this is the hotel’s most valuable part It’s a hotel with a restaurant and bar, a swimming pool, a gym, and a sauna, and it even takes smokers’ views into consideration The free coffee station, where I can drink coffee all day, is also very useful Especially the breeze you feel on the poolside bed is by far the best for hotel vacationers No reason for deduction from five stars Breakfast (restaurant) Breakfast condition is so-so It is far from the lavish breakfast conditions of Hilton brand hotels, but it is judged to be a breakfast condition that is neither lacking nor excessive However, the arrangement of the food feels somewhat scattered If think about it while placing it with the background mood in mind Rather than a restaurant in a luxury hotel It seems more like a cafeteria(?) atmosphere, so it’s probably best to see it that way I think of this as a difference in the culture of thinking It’s a bit disappointing that there are no outdoor seats where I can enjoy meal while feeling the outside breeze If I can see it positively as a cultural difference among Japanese people Overall, I think it’s a good hotel that is well maintained and well managed However, decisively, They are friendly, but quite different from the usual warm hospitality of Thai hoteliers who always smile and greet you— the crew’s businesslike, dry atmosphere is the most disappointing aspect Even considering the disappointing aspects, I’m 100% planning to stay at the Jasmine City Hotel on my next visit
