I would give this hotel a 0 star if i could, it was a very disappointing experience. We initially booked APA hotel and cancelled thinking that this hotel would be an upgrade but we were so wrong! It started when we were trying to forward our luggage from our Osaka hotel, we messaged them via Agoda to check for recommendations and wasn’t given very helpful replies other than telling us we need to find our own and put in booking name and check in date on the shipping slip. We wanted to send our shipping slip over for them to see if what we have written is okay (as it is in English and not Japanese), but we were told to “manage it yourself” and that they do not need the slip Moving on to the actual hotel, the rooms were clean, but the mini fridge wasn’t working in the room, and the aircon was extremely noisy. The walls were very thin and we could hear every conversation on the corridor as well as all the cars speeding by on the main road infront of the hotel. We spent 5 nights here and did not get any good rest. Furthermore, the bed was quite small for 2 pax. Finally, the hotel served complimentary breakfast, which was toast and some spread, along with some coffee and tea. This is situated at level 1, right by the door to the hotel. We had our breakfast standing up the first morning we were there, threw our trash, went out immediately and had no issues. We did it again on our second morning there and this slightly older male staff came to us to let us know we can have our breakfast at the lounge (level 9) and we thought it was just a friendly suggestion as we were standing, so we said “no its okay thank you!” and was met with being told that standing up and eating is considered very rude in Japanese culture and that we should not have our breakfast here. I understand that every country have its own cultures and social norms, but if this is so critical, i believe it should have been made known from the start when we checked in, and that the same standards should have been enforced, not just to us on day 1 but also to every other guest that was doing this, before and after us. Lastly, when we checked out we realised that they do not provide any luggage storage services for free which caught us by surprise as all hotels ive stayed at have provided this for free. They were charging 3000-5000 yen for this service. We resorted to storing our luggage at big echo instead The only plus point was that the location is great, and its very close to the metro station with lift access, as well as key attractions in the asakusa area. It was a terrible experience staying here and i would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
