Open in Google Maps🇯🇵 Review: Stay Sakura Tokyo Shinjuku Hyakukura The only positive thing about this hotel is its location. It is convenient and the room is reasonably clean, but unfortunately, that is where the good experience ends. ⚠️ Extremely Disappointing Service I used a luggage delivery service (LuggAgent via Klook), which is a standard and widely used service in Japan. I selected hotel pickup and provided complete details, including the driver’s name, phone number, and vehicle information. On the evening of the 22nd, I informed the front desk in advance and was clearly told that leaving my luggage at the lobby the next morning (9:00–10:00 AM) would be fine. However, on the morning of the 23rd, a different front desk staff member refused to allow this without any flexibility. He insisted that I must stay and personally hand over the luggage due to “security reasons,” and that the hotel would not take any responsibility. Despite explaining everything clearly, providing all details, and even agreeing to take full responsibility, the staff refused to assist in any way. Even a basic request—such as calling the driver—was rejected. What was completely unacceptable was being forced to handwrite and sign a statement on plain paper to declare that the hotel would not be responsible. This was highly unprofessional and inappropriate for a hotel environment. This experience made me feel worse than staying at an Airbnb—it felt like I was not a paying guest at all, but someone asking for a favor, as no support was provided whatsoever. Even though my English is not perfect, I made every effort to communicate politely and clearly, including using translation tools. Still, there was zero willingness to help. 💬 Conclusion: The service standard here is unacceptable. A hotel that hosts international guests should understand common services like luggage delivery and provide basic assistance instead of refusing everything outright. I would not recommend this hotel based on the service experience alone. ⭐ Overall rating: 2/5
