What guests say

For around $57 (approx. 8,800-9,000 yen), Pearl Hotel Kayabacho is an excellent budget-friendly base for exploring central Tokyo. Located just 3 minutes from Kayabacho Station, it offers easy access to the Tozai and Hibiya lines, making it convenient for both Otemachi/Tokyo Station areas and Tokyo Disney Resort. Although the hotel has a 45-year history and uses old-school metal keys, the interior was renovated in 2016 for seismic safety. I stayed in a 140cm-wide Simmons bed room which was surprisingly clean, quiet, and well-maintained. While the centralized AC and lack of bedside power outlets show its age, the room remains highly functional for business or solo travel with a dedicated desk and fast water pressure in the unit bath. The surrounding area is filled with spiritual power spots and affordable local eats, perfect for travelers who want an authentic Tokyo experience without the high price tag of staying directly at Tokyo Station (just a 20-min walk away). 💡 Pro Tips: - Sightseeing: Visit "Nihonbashi Hie Shrine" to rub the unique upward-facing guardian dog for luck or "Koami Shrine," a famous spot for strong protection and financial fortune. - Dining: Grab a hearty "Motsuni" (stewed organ meat) set meal at "Joshu Motsujiro" nearby for under 1,000 yen, or enjoy a charcoal-grilled mackerel breakfast at "Shinpachi Shokudo." - Practicality: There are about 10 steps at the entrance, so be careful if you have very heavy luggage.
