So I don‘t know where any of the others stayed but our experience so far was the worst. Our room smelled like hell, mold, moist with a touch of old cabbage, after two nights even our clothes and bagpack had that smell. Even with some room scent it did not change anything. Someone commented he was here 1993 - thats when there has been the last overhaul of this location. Have been woken up several times because its super loud there (dont know how anyone could comment here that its quiet?) in the morning at 5am by loud noise from people getting ready. I don‘t know. The only thing good is, that it is located quite close to Ikebukuro Station, but thats is. Staff was, lets say okay, not unfriendly but not what you would expect in terms of warming of friendly. Even if you are on a budget there are nicer locations for a budget. Website makes it look like a nice place, which it isn‘t.
