What guests say

We were very disappointed. The hotel is advertised as 3 Star hotel but it does not meet those standards. There is NO air conditioning in the rooms. This is a health and safety hazard. Secondly, the rooms smelt like feet and cigarettes even though we booked a non-smoking room. The rooms were dusty and bed stand laminate was falling apart. Stains on the carpet and the top doona cover was definitely not changed. The staff at the reception were not helpful or courteous apart from 1 of them. Unfortunately I don’t know his name. He was very courteous. The location is definitely right in the Center of eat street. This is good but also has its disadvantage as the street is barricaded after 7am to prevent cars from entering. Which means if you have a flight to catch you must order a cab before that or carry all your bags to the Main Street. We paid roughly $250 AUD a night for the room. There are plenty other hotels round the corner which provide better facilities at either same price or cheaper. We inquired about a few hotels while we were there for next time and KOKO hotel definitely stands out at roughly $119 AUD a night.
