Hotel New Shohei

The location is close to Yotsuya station, which was very convenient! There’s also a lot of places to eat in the evening right outside the entrance. I arrived in the pouring rain without an umbrella and the lovely young lady at the desk very kindly fetched me a towel as soon as I arrived! The staff at the front desk were always so kind and welcomed all the guests with a smile. There is a lounge that is free for the guests to use and you can take drinks and snacks from the lounge up to your hotel room. I was very happy with my stay, but I have some small feedback about the rooms. It’s a budget hotel so I was expecting a small room but the dark colour scheme made it look a lot smaller than it really was. The room was also quite dusty - I think maybe they need a more thorough clean! (The bathroom however was very clean.) I would have also liked at least a kettle in the room so that I didn’t have to go down to the lounge every time I wanted a cup of tea. But other than those small points, I enjoyed my stay very much. I’d like to say thank you again to the very sweet young ladies on reception. They made me feel so welcome!
