GLOU Higashi Shinjuku

We had a really pleasant stay at this hotel and would happily return. Compared to other hotels in the area, which were quite expensive, this was a much more reasonably priced option and we were not disappointed. The location is very convenient, just a short walk to the nearest subway station and about 15 minutes on foot to Shinjuku, which we ended up doing every day. Despite being so well connected, the hotel sits on a smaller street just off the main road, so it was quiet at night with no traffic noise. We stayed in Room 304 in the main building, right at the end of the first floor. The room itself was compact but perfectly functional, which suited us as we were mainly there to sleep at night. We chose one of the loft style rooms with the bed upstairs, and the ladder felt safe to use. The bed was comfortable and we slept very well throughout our stay. What really stood out to us, though, was the staff. We had to call the emergency contact number at around 1am due to another guest’s situation, and the response was incredibly quick and helpful. On top of that, we experienced an unexpected issue on the day of checkout, and the team went above and beyond to accommodate us and provide support. A special mention to Mai, who was extremely helpful on the day of our checkout and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Overall, a great stay with a fantastic location, excellent value for money and exceptional service. We would definitely stay here again.
