Open in Google MapsI recently stayed at Pullman ZamZam Madinah for 3 nights 3-6 Aug 2026. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with several strengths, but there are also a few areas where I expected more from a 5 star hotel. Pros 1. Good location (especially for men) The hotel's biggest advantage is its location. It is less than a 5 minute walk to Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, and it is situated on the Rawdah (ﷺ) side of the mosque. I could hear the adhan from my room, leave immediately, and comfortably join the congregational prayer on time. However, this location is much less convenient for women, as the women's prayer entrances are on the opposite side of the mosque, requiring a considerably longer walk. 2. Comfortable rooms The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. However, I noticed that a few amenities commonly found in 4 and 5 star hotels were missing, such as a weighing scale, shaving kit, shoe polish, and a few other standard toiletries. 3. Smooth check-in experience The hotel has multiple check-in counters, making the arrival process quick and efficient. I also appreciated the complimentary water, Arabic coffee, and dates available in the lobby. On the downside, the elevators are not well synchronized, which can result in longer waiting times during busy hours. 4. Excellent staff The staff throughout the hotel were gently and cooperative. A special thanks to Naveed in the breakfast section, who stood out for his kindness and willingness to assist guests. 5. Parking could be improved The hotel charges an additional fee for parking, even for hotel guests. Some nearby hotels provide complimentary parking, so this was disappointing. Additionally, there was no bell service available in the parking area, meaning we had to transport our luggage ourselves from the parking level to the lobby. 6. Good breakfast, but below 5-star expectations The breakfast offers a wide variety of dishes, including healthy options, and I especially enjoyed the live egg station. The menu also changes daily, which keeps the experience fresh. That said, I feel the breakfast is closer to a good 4 star standard than a true 5 star experience. While the selection is good, several premium items that are commonly expected are missing. Interestingly, the hotel clearly knows what a true 5 star breakfast looks like, they serve salmon and several premium items in the VIP dining section. So if you're a regular guest, you get a solid breakfast but if you're a VIP, apparently that's where the fifth star is hiding. Overall I’m just satisfied and would consider it more like a 4 star stay.
