Open in Google MapsMy experience at The Goodenough Hotel was okay but somewhat disappointing. While the location is great and the service very good, the hotel itself needs refurbishment beyond recent cosmetic fixes. It did not help that London was experiencing a heatwave and the hotel has no air conditioning, but the fact that there is no ventilation beyond the sash windows meant that rooms were stuffy even with the fans provided. + - Staff at reception are friendly and helpful - Good breakfast offering, with both a cooked breakfast at the beautiful Goodenough College around the corner and a continental option in the hotel basement - Great location with a access to a private garden across the street (ask for key from reception) - Comfortable beds and walk-in showers - - No ventilation in rooms other than portable fans - Recent renovations showing signs of wear and tear (broken taps, cracked tiles) - No common areas in the hotel itself (ie lobby or bar) - Rooms in the annex building are noisy and without proper blackout curtains, outside light spills in
