The Staff was nice. The Location was pretty OK. Still very busy at night with lots of sirens. So Earplugs are kind of a must. But I got to all my planned locations and activities just fine from here. HOWEVER. When I checked in first, I got a Hotel Room downstairs. Basement level basically. Now when you get down there it already smells musty and the carpeted floor looks questionable. I thought it was only the hallway, however when I entered the room I was immediately hit with an even stronger odor. I checked out the room and was met with black mold in the bathroom (and not just a little) as well as across from the bed, by the heater (Pictures attached). I am not surprised by the mold given the tiny window. To top it off the curtains were partly detached which is awkward because the bed is right by the window which faces out front to the main road. I went to the reception and told them about the mold issue and asked for a new room. Because simply breathing in there felt like a hazard to my health. I was told the hotel was fully booked but if I spoke with the receptionist in the morning around 9 AM maybe we could switch my room out. So i spend a night in that room.. I had to leave my things from 9 AM to 3 PM at the front desk while venturing out but when I came back I got a room that was miles better. However even here the toilet brush was rusted shut same as the room prior and the shower head had no waterpressure because about 2/3rds or the water was spraying out the hose itself on the back and the sink's drain seemed pretty clogged as well. For 137,93 Euros I would expect more. Yes London is expensive. But almost 140 Euros for this when it was booked way in advance too? To top it off I met someone going to the same concert as me and staying at the same hotel. Turns out I got her room while she got the basement room with the mold still thriving. Not even a quick mold treatment. This is ridiculous and negligent.
