AVOID THIS HOTEL. Staff are for sure in the wrong industry with such a foul attitude. wouldn’t even give it a 1* tbh. Hotel was awful and after communicating with them via email rather than putting a review straight away i was appalled with the response and lack of accountability- we stayed here for an event and had an early check in, the room wasn’t quite ready which was fine as we just went off and grabbed some food, upon arriving back the lady told us “5 minutes” i believe she was waiting for her manager or something, but this 5 minutes was more like 40, we eventually got our room key and was told the lift wasn’t working so would need to walk up stairs, me and my sister had a suitcase and 1 bag each - both being heavy. when entering the room on the 3rd floor it looked lovely, despite the mould on the curtains, the air con was awful, my sister had called downstairs to ask for help to which we was ignored, around 20 minutes later i asked someone to come up to the room and check, he told us their system was showing the air con was fine but it wasn’t, i could’ve blew on myself and received better air. He then offered us a new room to which we accepted but did say there had been a leak so a towel was on the bathroom floor which wasn’t an issue, but upon arriving to the new room on the 4th floor we was instantly hit with a foul damp smell, the towel on the floor was yellow which to me shows it hadn’t been changed in a while, the room was tiny and just not nice in general, not to mention the air con was no different despite being on the coldest setting. We decided to leave the air con on whilst out so we’d feel somewhat cooler returning home, this wasn’t the case, we arrived back to the room and the thermostat was on 21 degrees!! Struggled to sleep but eventually managed to get to sleep, to then be awoken at 4.30am by the lights deciding to come on!!! We had breakfast - big mistake, walking in there was dirty tables which baffles me as there was only 1 table when we arrived so why wasn’t the tables cleared if it wasn’t busy? my sister had the cooked breakfast which looking at it couldn’t be faulted, and i had the continental, and the only edible thing that was SAFE to eat was the pastry and toast, the cheese was soft and mushy where it’d been left out for ages and in this heat that can happen quickly and the meat i didn’t even dare pick up and it also made me wonder if my sisters food was even safe to eat, i left hungry. We checked out to which i couldn’t wait to do, i practically darted out the door. We sent an email explaining everything and the response we received was we’d receive our £50 deposit back and our breakfast would be “complimentary” the breakfast it’s self was no more than £20 for the both of us which to me doesn’t show accountability at all - this was very unhelpful and upsetting considering we’d spent over £350. I would not return, avoid at all costs!!!
