Spacious King Room on the Heart of Chiswick West London

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel after a very upsetting experience during my stay. A highly valuable personal item disappeared from my luggage while it was in my hotel room. It was not kept in the safe, but I certainly did not expect my personal luggage to be accessed or searched inside a private hotel room. What disappointed me even more was the way the situation was handled afterwards. Apart from searching the room, I was not made aware of any meaningful internal investigation. Instead, I was repeatedly shown a document I had signed stating that the hotel does not accept responsibility for valuables left outside the safe. I understand the hotel’s policy, but in a situation like this I would have expected more concern, empathy and willingness to understand what may have happened, rather than what felt to me like a very dismissive response. I cannot say what exactly happened or who was responsible. I can only say that the item was with me when I arrived and was no longer there after my stay. The matter has now been reported to the police. I’m sharing this simply so that future guests can make their own informed decision and be extremely careful with their belongings.
