Pink Door Guesthouse

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE!!! If I could give it less than 1 star, I would. 1. Check-in was horrible. Had to wait outside a sketchy alley for the key to be placed in the box well beyond check-in time, despite telling the property manager well in advance when I would check in. 2. booked a double room and had bunk beds. The owner insisted that this was the double room. I was definitely being scammed 3. BED BUGS. Found bed bugs and ticks crawling all over the room. Immediately booked it out of there and did not stay the two nights I booked. Absolutely disgusting - Asked if there were other rooms available, and saw online that there was. The owner lied and said there wasn't. Waited until someone booked out the last room because they are greedy scammers, until they insisted that nothing could be done to help 4. Informed the owner of bed bugs and that we would be leaving. The owner is apathetic and non-responsive. I did eventually get them to agree to a refund, but they never got back to me. I am currently disputing the charge to my card because they said they promised a refund and then ghosted me when I kept insisting that they had to continue the refund process after I initiated it, after they promised they would. I continued to message them only to be ignored, with them clearly reading them. Avoid this place like the plague. Will be calling booking.com when I get back to my home country to ask if there is any way to take down this property so others do not get scammed as I did. Sidenote: I would not consider myself a difficult traveler, nor do I need much to be satisfied. I've stayed in a hostel in the jungle in a room with 40 people and 1 bathroom, and I would rather stay there instead of this place. This place was unacceptable.
