Peaceful Well Equipped Flat Near Central London

We rented a one-bed at the Union Wharf development for 2 years (2019–2021). Our renting experience with Essential Living has overall been a smooth one, with friendly staff throughout the journey and an amazing on-site concierge/residents team. Minor repairs and fixes were easily arranged. The main downside is that we could hear every single bassy thudding footstep of our (average-sized) upstairs neighbours above, moving from room to room, to the extent of rattling our unit’s fixtures. Infuriating at times. There was also a power surge incident in Sep 2020 that was a bumpy experience for a few months, affecting us and many units, see images. The apartment is very functional with modern creature comforts like nice fittings and appliances and furnishing. There is a sense of community among residents thanks to a Facebook group set up by Essential Living. They have also organised some virtual events, like cook along sessions with ingredients supplied, and some fun contests like Easter egg counting.
