NOX Kensington Gardens

The location of the hotel is very good. It is within walking distance of both Queensway and Bayswater Underground stations, making it easy to get around London. We were staying in the jacuzzi suite the room itself was okay, but there were several things that could easily be improved. Although there was a kitchenette, there was no tea towel or dish towel, making it difficult to wash and dry dishes. We were only given large bath towels, with no hand towels or smaller towels for our face or hair. We asked the staff if they could provide smaller towels, but they told us they didn’t have any. There was also only one chair in the room, so whenever we wanted to have breakfast together, one of us had to sit on the bed, which was quite inconvenient. The check-out experience was also disappointing. We were not asked how our stay had been or whether everything was okay. Instead, the receptionist simply asked for our key card. The biggest issue, however, happened after our stay. We stored our luggage at the hotel after checking out. Before leaving our luggage there, I still had my AirPods. Afterwards, they went missing. When I checked Apple’s Find My app, the AirPods remained at the hotel location after we had left. Later that evening, at around 10:00 PM, the location started moving and has since remained at the same residential address. I contacted the hotel immediately, but the only response I received was that housekeeping had thoroughly cleaned the room and found nothing. They also advised me to file a police report, which I intend to do. I also came across several reviews from other guests mentioning missing belongings after leaving their luggage in the hotel’s luggage storage. While I cannot say with certainty what happened, the timeline shown in the Find My app, combined with my experience, has made this situation extremely concerning and frustrating. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to this hotel. I would advise other travellers to keep a close eye on their valuables and carefully consider whether they want to leave their luggage in storage here.
