Notting Hill Playhouse

Well impressed with this cinema! if you're looking for massive screen, laser projector, surround sound, that ain't it. But if you want to feel a real cinema spirit, sit in old and historic venue, more than 100 years old, which has been recently refurbished, I got a spot for you. It's small place, only one screen but it's a very long room, although screen is not that big so I'd recommend getting tickets in front rows, thank me later. Venue looks fantastic, decorations on the celling are really something, you'd get that old theatre vibe. There is small bar area where you can get snacks and drinks. Soft light and wooden finish give that dimmed and moody feel. Also I never been in cinema where entrance to the toilet is connected to the main room. It wasn't distracting but it's fascinating to think, that's how it used to be. Seats are comfy enough, there is no old and stale smell. Great service from the manager, you can see them on the screen before main feature when they introduce this fantastic establishment. Also x2: got a chance to see one of the best movies so far this year, The Last Viking is truly something and exactly my kind of a movie.
