Tucked right into East London, it makes travelling feel far less stressful compared to the larger, more hectic airports around the city. Even though it’s on the smaller side, that actually works in its favour—you can get through the whole process much faster, from check-in to security to boarding. The airport itself feels clean, modern, and surprisingly calm. Because the terminal isn’t huge, everything is easy to find, and you never feel overwhelmed by long walking distances or massive crowds. The staff are generally friendly, and the whole atmosphere is relaxed in a way that makes the start of a trip feel much smoother. Transportation-wise, the DLR is by far the best way to get there. It’s reliable, frequent, and connects easily with the rest of London’s transport network. One of the things I appreciate most is how close the station is to the terminal—you step off the DLR, walk for literally one or two minutes, and you’re already inside the airport. It’s perfect for travellers with luggage or anyone trying to minimise travel time. Overall, London City Airport offers an efficient, comfortable, and hassle-free travel experience. If you value speed, convenience, and a smooth journey, it’s honestly one of the best airports to fly from in London.
