the hotel is, overall, fine and in a great convenient location. walkable to some key sights as well as to the tube. my first issue occurred when i arrived, in all email communications (including when i booked) it said check in at 2pm. when i arrived i was told that check in was at 3pm and those emails were wrong. i had only received the most recent email regarding check in time a few days before so it must be a fairly recent change in policy. i then had to kill time for nearly an hour before returning at 3pm to check in. this communication should have been clearer and if policy had changed then a clear email communication to note this. secondly one of the towels in my room has some disgusting waxy like substance stuck on it which i only noticed when unfolding after showering. it wasn't ideal, but i was able to get a proper clean one. overall clearer communication and better laundry standards would improve this hotel.
