Open in Google MapsWe were unfortunate enough to book into this hotel. The online pictures and 6/10 stars on booking.com is misleading. This is an old style hotel that is in a very dodgy square, full of other tired old hotels which when we arrived was full of people sat around smoking and doing drugs in the park, the air stank of weed and there were rubbish bags everywhere. Only 100m away you have the bustling centre of King’s Cross but this is not a street you want to enter. The room was tiny, bed was 3/4 sized double (not the standard as stated) and when we asked to move they said they had no bigger ones. There was mould in the shower as well in all the tiles and grout. We thought we’d give it the benefit of the doubt - went out for dinner. Upon returning the antisocial behaviour outside had escalated and there was a large group of people at the bottom of the hotel steps where just up from the reception - again the smell of weed was very heavy you could smell it inside in the corridors. We cut our losses, it wasn’t a safe place to stay - and immediately checked out and stayed elsewhere. Maybe for £50 a night for a single student you might but we were being charged £155 a night. They they have refused to refund us. It is a place no one would ever want to stay on holiday.
