Dover Hotel - B&B

Staying here for a few days whilst my house is having some renovations. Absolutely awful hotel. First of all there are bugs just crawling around the room and on the stairs. Secondly, this hotel is not accessible at all! It is not suitable for people with accessibility issues. There is no lift in this hotel at which means carrying heavy luggage up old narrow stairs. Once you get into the bedroom it’s not much better. The room is split into two sections. Once you walk in there’s a small tiny box, on your right up a step is a small bathroom. To the front of you is a very steep 2 steps. But the main problem is trying to navigate in this small little box is awful as the doors do not stay open. They’re extremely heavy fire doors. Trying to squeeze through whilst not tripping and falling all whilst holding a heavy fire door open - not great. The room it’s self is basic but that’s fine. It’s decorated quite standardly, however, the room is a literal oven, there’s no air conditioning at all. The windows of the room do not open properly. I could not sleep at all. The receptionist provided me a fan, however it just pushed hot air around. For a hotel to not have ac is crazy. However there is specially an issue with my room with the heat. The reception and hallways were not too bad regarding the heat. My room is unbearable. The bathroom is small but does the job, however the whole bathroom gets drenched with water when showering. The last thing is the WiFi, it is incredibly slow. I was struggling to work or stream as it just was so slow. Overall, do not stay in this hotel. Not worth the stress!
