The location is excellent, which is why we chose to return to it for a second stay. However, the hotel itself is in poor condition. The decor is dated, worn and dark. There is damage everywhere (baseboard seemingly damaged by water, large holes and marks on walls and doors, and dings and gouges on furniture), the window casing was very dirty, and the microwave in our room did not work well either; only one button did, the main operation's dial did not. All this demonstrates the hotel's lack of desire to fix issues and provide an inviting environment. Also, the first room that we had been assigned had a large puddle at the entrance, from a leak at the ceiling; we had a to request a different room. There is also no daily servicing of the room anymore. We would have appreciated a lounge chair in the room; as it were, there were only 2 dining chairs at the table in our studio room. Coffee service in the lobby is appreciated. The price of about 230 GBP/ night for their smallest studio room is definitely high for the poor condition of the amenities, but we opted to accept it for the convenience of the location.
