What guests say

I should start with the negatives, as I think they are more important to mention to students like me. The biggest issue for me was the price, while Chapter Highbury is a very good accommodation, I do think it is quite expensive for what you actually get. Another negative is that the walls are, and I don't exaggerate, very thin. You can easily hear people in the rooms next to you or above you, If you are sensitive to noise or generally someone who makes a lot of noise, this is definitely something to keep in mind. The windows also do not open fully, which sometimes made the room feel a little enclosed and less airy. I went there in winter and still it was sometimes unventilated. That being said, there are many things that this accommodation does exceptionally well. First of all, security is excellent, I mean it is fantastic. As an 18-year-old tourist travelling alone, I felt incredibly safe throughout my stay. The building is well secured, access is controlled, and it does not feel directly exposed to the streets. There is also a private outdoor area with benches which adds to the feeling of safety and comfort. The location is great for students. It is very close to the Underground making it easy to get anywhere in London, even if you have never visited the city before. It is located right by London Metropolitan University and close to Emirates Stadium, which is a great area to stay in. Having a Costa Coffee, McDonald's, Subway, Aldi and a Sainsbury's literally next door is extremely convenient and makes daily life much easier, especially for students and visitors. The room itself was generally comfortable, and the bed was genuinely good. I slept very well during my stay. The housekeeping service was also very good. The room was regularly maintained, and everything was kept clean and organised throughout my visit. The atmosphere felt respectful, friendly, and mature. At no point did I feel uncomfortable or unsafe. The residents were very respectful and friendly The biggest highlight of my experience was undoubtedly the staff. The reception team and security staff were some of the friendliest people I have ever met in any accommodation. Even though I am a very shy person and sometimes I struggle to speak English, they were always welcoming, helpful, approachable, and genuinely kind. Their attitude made a huge difference to my stay, and I would like to sincerely thank them for their professionalism and friendliness. Overall, despite some clear downsides such as the high price, thin walls, and limited window opening, I had a very positive experience and would absolutely consider staying here again. However, I would definitely choose a room with a kitchen. Staying in a room without a kitchen can become quite difficult over time, especially without a fridge. That would be my strongest recommendation for future guests. Would I stay here again? Yes. Just next time, make sure to book a room with a kitchen.
