What guests say

The only positive thing about this accommodation is the ground staff, who have always been friendly and helpful. When Carlos Paya was the manager, Chapters Aldgate genuinely felt like a home. There was a welcoming atmosphere, residents were treated with respect, and living here was enjoyable. Since the new manager took over, that feeling has completely disappeared. Instead of creating a comfortable environment for residents, management has become unnecessarily strict. The accommodation now feels overregulated, with rules being enforced in a way that makes it feel more like living under constant supervision than living at home. Closing the courtyards at 8 pm and the overall approach to residents have had a huge negative impact on the experience. Many of us have lived here for over two or three years, so we’ve experienced both management styles firsthand. The difference is impossible to ignore, and unfortunately it’s for the worse. I’ve already decided not to renew my contract, and several friends have made the same decision. It’s disappointing because this used to be a place I would happily recommend. On top of that, there’s a major construction project next to the building, meaning constant noise and dust that is expected to continue for another 1 to 2 years. If you’re looking for a peaceful place to live or study, this is something you should seriously consider before signing a contract. I wouldn’t have written this review if I didn’t genuinely feel the quality of living had declined so significantly. Chapters Aldgate has the potential to be a great accommodation again, but that will require management to start listening to residents and focus on making this feel like a home instead of simply enforcing rules. (please change the manager and we will think about living here) this isn’t a home anymore it’s her (the manager’s) yard of dictatorship
