Enclave: Acton is overall a great place to live if you're a single occupant, especially if you're a young adult. The staff in-particular are amazing, always smiling and eager to help, or just happy to chat. It's very welcoming, even if you're more introverted like myself. Special shoutout to Harrison for the above. The maintenance and cleaning staff are also great, and never fail to smile if I see them in the corridors or lifts. There's always events, clubs or breakfasts to enjoy. Facilities wise, the gym, basketball court, games rooms and the rooftop bar are massive highlights. Being able to invite friends over and enjoy all of these amenities was great. Some areas like the lifts or the rubbish disposal can be hit and miss. I find the sign in process to be quite a lot for visitors, but I also can understand it from a security perspective. I certainly never felt unsafe in Enclave. Often times there just aren't enough lifts for everyone in the building and you're often stuck waiting a while, or one is broken altogether. With the rubbish disposal, it's quite small and seems to get full quickly, though you can use the basement area instead. There could also be a couple more washers or dryers, though other residents can be slow to collect their own washing. The room itself is lovely and modern, plenty of storage space, especially considering the small studio-size. The desk was a bit smaller than I would have preferred but I just about made it work with my desktop set up. Also lots of room for decoration, was super happy with how my little flat looked. The room was well insulated during the December-February period. I did struggle quite a lot with the recent heatwaves, and found that the fans on the ceiling weren't quite as effective as I would have liked. But then again, there's not many places on the market in London that can handle heat anyways. Bills are nice and straightforward to pay, with the facilities and utilities packed into one payment. No extra fuss or stress about council tax, water or electricity. I won't comment on pricing as it can vary a lot, but I found my bill very appropriate for the space, location, convenience, amenities and security. Overall I'd highly recommend Enclave to any young adult working in London, easy commutes, friendly staff and a good quality of life. I wish I could have kept my tenancy for longer, but unfortunately family emergencies got in the way.
