What guests say

The Anchor Bankside is a nice historic pub with a beautiful interior and a few outdoor seats right by the river. There are currently some building works nearby, so it is quite noisy if you sit outside. The best spot is definitely inside next to an open window—you get a fresh breeze, the river view, and the pub music without the construction noise. We had beer and shared two starters: the Manchego cheese and the baked feta. Two starters were plenty for two people to share. The food was tasty and paired well with the beer, but nothing extraordinary. It felt a bit overpriced, though that is standard for London! This is a great spot to visit with family or friends. I came here on a Saturday midday and there were plenty of open tables, so booking ahead wasn't necessary. As one of London's historic pubs, it is definitely worth a visit. It might not be a major foodie destination, but it is a perfect refreshment stop during a walk along the river!
