Ascot Hyde Park Hotel

Well never actually got to stay in this downtrodden place, But after booking using my Points on Hotels.com, I researched into this place and saw photographs on Google under reviews, I noticed people have complained about bedbugs. Plus one woman has uploaded photographs of her with bites and rashes from sleeping at hotel. The place is in a very good location in the heart of Paddington London but, should be avoided at all costs. Hotels.com try to get my points back by communicating with The Hotel for a waiver but this was not carried out and so did not get my points back. The staff at The Hotel were quite rude and one of them actually said, “If you can’t afford the £50 deposit you should stay somewhere else”. So yes, they charge an additional £50 deposit when you check in. I think the reason this is the case is because they have had people stay that have damaged the place, As it’s quite a rundown Hotel, And so obviously, if anyone else does any damages, they’re covered with a £50 deposit. The rooms looked in quite need a refurbishment in terms of the photographs I’ve seen that other people have uploaded on Google reviews. It looks quite unclean, And the amount of people that about bedbugs is quite a lot if you read the reviews under this Hotel. They don’t even do breakfast. So In my opinion, I would avoid this place at all costs. It’s probably better to sleep in a tent. I would get this 0 out of 5 rating, but apparently I have to select one star.
