I think the 5 star ratings are for the location only. It's very close to the metro, there is a coffee shop around the corner, bakery, within the street a small market and a great hairdresser. I know my way around in İstanbul so it was close to all of my fav spots. But... the room.. I had a larger room but the bathroom was small, furniture was old and chipped, that plastic thing on the showerdoor to keep water from splashing everywhere was half loose and the toiletseat was crooked. And the sink had a crack in it. I think the shampoo and conditioner were mixed with water - the consistency is not what it's supposed to be, very runny like water. Housekeeping is between 16.00-17.00? I spent a whole day outside, came back to freshen up and they still had to clean/tidy the room. The lady from housekeeping is doing a good job though. Can't complain. I was on the 1st floor and could hear EVERYTHING. Every conversation, doorbell, phones ringing. I did not complain because I was out for hours but I'm sure other guests would not appreciate this.
