Avicenna Hotel Sultanahmet

Honest review. I have travelled alone from London. When I arrived someone from front desk ran over and carried my suitcase from the taxi straight to my room. A really warm and welcoming start. There is always someone on the front desk and happy to help you with anything. The room I stayed in was quite small but had a big comfy bed, air con, a kettle, fridge and a safe. The WiFi was reliable throughout my stay and the staff connected me as soon as I arrived. The bathroom could do with an upgrade but was still clean and value for money. House keeping came every day and cleaned to a high standard, very friendly. Breakfast was ok, they had fresh bread, salad, water melon, cheese and meat slices. There were also cakes and some other small things that I didn’t try. Couldn’t get a better location for the price in my opinion, very close to the tourist attractions and a tram stop close by that will take you to the ferry if you want to visit the Asian side. There is a very nice restaurant a couple of doors down called Dubb ethnic, really fresh food and nice staff made me feel very welcome without being pushy. There is also a laundry service that I did not need to use. Overall a good experience and value for money, I would definitely stay here again.
