Reva Residence - Luxe 1BR with Burj Khalifa View

As is unfortunately the case with many DAMAC-owned properties, the security and reception staff were incredibly rude, unwelcoming and hostile towards guests. Last night, I visited a friend in this building for two hours. There were clearly many empty parking spaces available, yet I was told that parking was only for residents. When I said that was fine and simply asked where I could park instead, I was given no useful answer and told to drive around until I found somewhere. Seriously? In this heat, a guest is expected to drive around Business Bay looking for parking while there are visibly empty spaces inside the building? I live in a DAMAC building myself, and my own guests face the same rude and disrespectful treatment. This is not an isolated incident. It appears to be a consistent issue across DAMAC properties. On a separate occasion at my building, a guest was treated so badly by security that the situation escalated and the barrier was broken when the person drove through it. I am not saying that was the right thing to do, but I understand the level of frustration that can build when people are treated with such hostility and disrespect. If you are considering renting or buying in a DAMAC building, be aware that this is how your guests will be treated: with hostility, disrespect and a complete lack of basic courtesy. Residents should not have to feel embarrassed every time someone comes to visit them.
