VELA Dhi GLOW Pratunam

Great experience: Request for high floor, non connecting room and near lift for my 80+years mom with weak legs. Met with very friendly bunch of ladies reception teams (didn't get all their names but very commendable becos their will greet us whenever we leave or return at hotel, even have friendly conversations about our stay and trips always) Read below extended details given above rooms etc. The room The location The breakfast The swimming pool The 24hr free welcome drink lounge The inhouse massage service open till 3am Are very good!!! Bad experience: 1. The street sign for driver and guest facing main road and soi19 have to improved. Our driver do not know whereabouts is the the actual hotel lobby, which we found out ourself needs to turn left into soi19, then turn left avoid the carpark entry and use the loading unloading rubbish bin bay, then will arrive at hotel lobby which do not have a good lettering signage again. This my feedback have to improve . 2. The shower drainage hole let.the water drip like waterfall into the bottom water trap and make very loud dripping noise for more than 15mins non stop. It makes us not dare to shower at nite before bedtime. Cos thenlong continuous dripping sound is very irritating. 3. The Aircon control did not work well for the first nite stay..we set it at lowest power and 27degrees high. But there is not thermostatic changes and we suffered like cold meat in a freezer. My 90s mom and myself suffered legs cramps and headache didn't sleep well. We complained to the hotel and they sent a technician after we had our breakfast and we waited for.the repair to be done before we head out shopping by late 10+am (to our suprised. The technician seems to.know where is the actual problem and had a water valve replaced in a short while. The temperature control.bavk to normal) we gave a tips as usual whenever a hotel room service given. WARNING TO GM: please ensure that such repairs are not faked like other similar tactics like blown bulbs, locked safe. TV antenna not working, etc etc. so techincian have to be called to fix it at guests timing. All in all. I must says this is a great great hotel to bring family with old folks or children to stay. Spacious room toilet and safe..nice bed pillows. Thank you Bangkok.
