Sama Al-Ula Apartments

Great value for money for a family of five We stayed here as a family of five and thought it was excellent value for money. The location is just outside AlUla, but still very convenient. It took us around 10 minutes to drive to the main Old Town area, and then only another five minutes or so to reach the Winter Park car park where many of the AlUla tours and shuttle buses depart from. Booking through Booking.com was very easy. The owner messaged us the electronic door code before arrival, so check-in was simple and stress-free. We also met the owner’s brother and the housekeeping staff member during our stay, and everyone was friendly and welcoming. The apartment itself is very spacious and feels newly refurbished. There was plenty of bottled water provided in the kitchen, which was appreciated after travelling. What really stood out, though, was the attention to detail. Small things had clearly been thought about, such as guest slippers, shower slippers, and even a squeezy mop for the bathroom floor. That might sound minor, but anyone who has stayed in lots of hotels or serviced apartments in Saudi Arabia will understand why it matters. Many bathrooms are designed as wet rooms where the whole floor gets soaked. Here, being able to easily clear the water made the bathroom much more comfortable and practical for a family stay. The shower itself was also impressive, with multiple settings and power jets coming from different angles. The air conditioning worked perfectly as well. My wife loved the decor so much that she was taking photos of the master bedroom for inspiration for our own house, which probably says a lot about how nicely the apartment has been designed. Having a washing machine was another really useful feature for a family travelling with children. Parking outside was easy, and the street itself was quiet and peaceful. Finally, the owner was very helpful and friendly throughout. When I asked for a breakfast recommendation, he immediately suggested a good local place for us to try. Bonus recommendation: Lapain Coffee & Bakery is only about five minutes away by car and was excellent for coffee, croissants, and breakfast. Overall, a very comfortable, thoughtfully designed apartment and somewhere we would definitely stay again if visiting AlUla.
