This hotel advertises itself as a 5-star property, but my experience felt closer to a 2 star hotel. I’ve stayed at many Accor properties, and this was by far one of the most disappointing experiences. I was assigned an old room overlooking a construction site on my birthday, which was not the experience I had been looking forward to. I understand that the original room category issue may have been caused by my booking agent, not the hotel. However, after my agent contacted the hotel, I was informed that I could upgrade my room by paying the difference and later be reimbursed. I went to the front desk twice, ready to pay the upgrade fee, but the staff showed little interest in helping or finding a solution. I left feeling that my concerns were simply brushed aside. The entire situation wasted my time and energy during what should have been an enjoyable birthday stay. What disappointed me most wasn’t just the room, it was the lack of genuine customer service and willingness to assist. For a hotel that markets itself as a 5-star property, I expected much better hospitality and guest care. Based on this experience, the service felt more like a 2 star hotel than a luxury one.
