Great Location, comfy bed but that's all. Nice welcome upon check-in and a stunning lobby reception. We were asked 1000THB for room deposit. Why, we don't know after our experience. Once the elevator opened it was depressive to see the worn carpet in the corridor on the way to your room. Our Deluxe Room was on the 8th floor facing the front of Sukhumvit 15. Several things we found were not great about this room. 1) Dirty windows. Didn't expect so much filth on the outside windows to affect the view, plus having a pigeon nesting in the corner and shitting down the glass. 2) Smelly bathroom. Sewerage odour detected which was really bad. 3) Shower water temperature fluctuates and same goes for the water pressure. 4) Air-con leaking. 5) No window insulation. You can hear everything from street noise and the loud Tuk Tuks. Bring your earplugs. 6) Some towels were old and had holes. 7) Shaving mirror was loose and needed to be fixed in place. 8) Swimming pool had a good design and size but the aesthetic surrounding the pool area felt like inside a compound. Management wouldn't clean the windows but instead tried to move us to the other side of the building facing a car park building. No thanks, we rather look at the sky even if we have to squint through the dirt. It seems they are more excited about installing a snooker room which is unfortunate because this hotel could do with upgrading the guests experience and just maybe the ratings would improve. In spite our review, the housekeeping staff were brilliant, helpful and cheerful every day, replenished our coffee/tea, drinking water and clean towels daily. Hotel location is prime position as well as affordable. We liked this area of Bangkok due to proximity to Terminal 21, BTS Asok and Nana station, and nearby restaurants by foot, and we liked the comfortable king bed. We should have taken note of the recent reviews.
