Super Hotel Tokyo Kameido

We stayed here for 5 nights as a family of 4 with two kids, ages 8 and 10, and we absolutely loved this hotel. Here are the highlights of our stay: 1. The breakfast was amazing. We loved being able to try a traditional Japanese breakfast alongside Western options, all buffet-style with a great variety each day. Our family looked forward to breakfast every morning. There were also plenty of drink choices. My husband and I enjoyed coffee daily, while our kids tried orange juice, Coke, and several other options. Everything was delicious. 2. The beds were very comfortable. The pillows provided in the room were quite firm, but softer pillows were available on the second floor at no extra charge. There were plenty of options to choose from. 3. The location was excellent. The hotel is right next to an elementary school, and it was fun watching the children walk to school in their uniforms. It is also next to a quiet neighborhood, which gave us a chance to experience a more local side of Tokyo away from the skyscrapers. It was about a 6-minute walk to Kameido Station and about 12 minutes to Kinshicho Station. Kameido bus station was only about 5 minutes away and made it easy to get to Tokyo Skytree and Senso-ji Temple without needing to transfer. 4. The free drink bar, open daily from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m., was a wonderful bonus. They played relaxing music, which made it a nice place to unwind in the evening. You could mix your own drinks and enjoy as much as you liked. Instructions were provided for different drink combinations, and there were non-alcoholic options as well. 5. The hotel was small but very functional. Our room setup included two connected compact rooms, each with a double bed and an upper bunk bed. My husband and I slept comfortably on one double bed, while our kids stayed in the other room. The bunk bed in our room went unused, but it was nice to have the extra space available. 6. The second floor included the front desk, laundry room, bathroom, and dining area. You could pick up daily essentials from the front desk, with a recommendation of up to five items per day. We especially enjoyed the face masks and foot-soaking pouches. I highly recommend soaking your feet at night. It really helped after long days of walking. We were able to do laundry twice during our stay. Each wash cost 200 yen, and the dryers were free. There were three washing machines and three dryers available, and baskets were provided to help carry clothes afterward. 7. The front desk staff spoke some basic English, and we had no trouble getting what we needed. During our stay, most of the guests seemed to be Japanese, and the atmosphere was always very quiet and peaceful. Our experience at Super Hotel was excellent, and we plan to stay at another Super Hotel during our trip to Kyoto. I highly recommend this hotel for families or small groups.
