You get what you pay for. Never met the owner but they sounded nice over the ring doorbell. I booked through a red letter days voucher and had to pay a surcharge of £41 which given the voucher details for £120-£180 is a very expensive 2 nights for not much. Ended up having to buy my own toilet paper as there was none. They ask you to clean the bathrooms as it’s a house share - but the toilet brushes absolutely stink! Duvet cover had a burn hole in it and several stains, and the bed was probably pretty good 20 years ago but now resembles a bowl. Other guests kept to themselves and it’s a mostly quiet area and for when it’s not they do provide earplugs.
