Unfortunately, I can't recommend this hostel. At the reception, the guy was friendly but his face shows that he had a tough night. Receptionist gave me a ticket with all the codes to access hostel, room. Unfortunately, the bed he allocated to me been occupied by someone else. The room of 5 beds were fully occupied. The guy gave me another room, with 6 beds, that I booked on the app. Room was clean, but not the best quality - no privacy curtains, no electric sockets near the bed, but had a cupboard to leave some items. After I checked in, I read some reviews about this place. Many guests mentioned bed bugs. Unfortunately, this time wasn't different. In the morning, found 1 bed bug on the duvet. I stayed in the room 5, 2nd bed. I didn't mentioned about the bed bug during check out, as I couldn't find receptionist. You have to leave your laundry near the reception, in a wooden box.

  • Guests are aged between 18-40 as this is a youth traveling hostel.
  • A valid government issued ID is required at check-in (passport, driving license, European travel card). Guests who do not have ID are not permitted to stay.
  • Please note that some of the dormitory rooms have triple bunk beds.
  • Payment will be taken in full upon arrival. Bookings are generally nonrefundable (except at the manager's discretion should the same booking be resold).
  • The Phenix Hostel operates a 14-day maximum stay policy. After this, a period of 6 months must pass before the guest can book again.
  • This property does not accept group bookings of more than 15 guests. A deposit may be required at the property.
