St Christopher's London Bridge - The Inn

Avoid this place! Honestly, I spent three weeks in London and stayed at various hostels; this was the last one, and I am extremely disappointed. First of all, it’s not really a "youth" hostel, since people of all ages can stay there. Also, ladies: don’t book the mixed dorms, even if they are cheaper. I found myself dealing with people walking around in their underwear right in front of my bed. As for cleanliness—let’s talk about that. I had to check three different toilet stalls before finding one without urine or other messes on the seat (and this was at 8:30 AM). I don’t want to blame the staff, as they are very welcoming and are just doing their jobs. I actually feel sorry for the cleaning crew, who constantly have to deal with people’s inconsiderate behavior. The people who stay at this hostel are disgusting; I was looked up and down as if I were an object, and a man used the toilet without closing the door just as I was coming out of the shower—even though he had seen me. I only stayed for three days (thankfully), and I’m sharing my experience to warn others. My experience might not reflect everyone’s—I was in a large mixed dorm—but that was what happened to me. To end on a positive note, though: the bed was clean, and the locker was big enough to store both my bags and could be secured with a padlock. The bar-restaurant also looks nice, for anyone interested in trying it out.
