NOX Golders Green

My stay at NOX was lovely!! The staff were really nice, polite and helpful whenever I spoke to them. The room AC was extremely welcome in the unprecedented heatwave, and I was delighted that it came through vents that cooled the entire room, rather than just a humming, ineffective box fitted to the wall as in most other hotels. I couldn’t hear a single noise from the street outside, even though we were on the first floor in a busy town with plenty of traffic and a school across the road. The room came with a kettle, a toaster, a hob and a small fridge-freezer, which was very helpful to keep snacks and drinks, especially as there is a Tesco right next door and a big kosher store further down the road. There was even a coffee machine in the kitchenette, which I didn’t end up using as I’d packed my Aeropress, but handy to know. The shower/bathroom was very clean, and the water pressure was perfect. The hotel provided towels, shampoo and shower gel as well as a hairdryer in the cupboard. I had a great night’s sleep thanks to the cool, quiet room and the comfy bed, and I was pleased that the bedding was hypoallergenic, as I am sensitive to allergens and often find myself sneezing at night. My only small gripe is that there was nowhere to sit except on the bed, but the information sheet said tables/chairs could be provided on request. Ultimately it wasn’t important enough for me to go and ask for one and my stay was fine without it. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel and the tube is a less than 10min walk. Golders Green is a comparatively peaceful and calm part of London, but with plenty of amenities, shops, and good access to the rest of the city. I will definitely be coming back to NOX Golders Green the next time I come to London!
