Mowbray Court Hotel

We booked this hotel for the six-day London part of our trip. After returning from Edinburgh feeling tired, we were looking forward to relaxing in a comfortable room. Instead, we were given a tiny room on the basement level (-2) with no proper window (except for a very small opening near the ceiling) and a noticeable damp, musty smell. Reaching the room was also quite inconvenient. We had to take the elevator down one floor, then walk down another flight of stairs, and finally make our way through long, maze-like corridors. After we raised our concerns, the staff kindly moved us to a room on the first floor the following day. The room itself was clean, and housekeeping did a good job. However, the soundproofing between the rooms was practically nonexistent. You could clearly hear conversations from the neighboring rooms. At around 4 a.m., I could hear the guests next door talking as if they were in the same room. Fortunately, I had brought earplugs with me. The bathrooms were extremely small and impractical, and there was barely enough space to open our suitcases or get ready comfortably. It almost felt like you had to perform acrobatics just to move around the room. Overall, this was not a comfortable stay for us. Considering that we paid a significant amount for this hotel, we expected a much better experience.
