A functional, clean and better than average hotel for the area. ...Just needs a little tlc. Advised of arrival time and arrvied at 3pm, the room wasn't ready, but it was only a 5 mins wait. The man on reception was nice and followed up quickly to ensure room was ready. Check in was easy, warm, and all relevant information explained clearly. I stayed in Room 1 that was on the below ground floor. I dread staying below ground when in London, as often these types of rooms have mould. But no. The room was very clean and mould-free and airy. It was spacious, with basic amenities... but during a heatwave, the supplied fan was very useful. Also had a bidet, and lovely artwork, which were nice touches. The room was slightly tired, but nothing wrong. I highly advise people stay here. It would have been a 5 star review, but I was sadly woken up at 7am by people banging around in the room above me. Although I was due to awake at 8am - from 7am-9am, I could only hear footsteps, banging, talking noises. Otherwise would have been an idyllic quiet stay. Due to central location, cleanliness, and small touches, I highly recommend staying. Stayed 29-31st May.
