Huttons Hotel, Victoria London

The only good thing about this hotel is its location. It’s close to the train station and public transport, and many places of interest are within easy walking distance. The rooms are tiny; there’s hardly any space to put your bags away (in fact, you have to keep moving them out of the way just to get past). In our room, there wasn’t even a wardrobe (however small) to store our clothes. The floor of the room was sticky. The bathroom washbasin was so small that it was difficult to wash your face. The same goes for the shower: tiny and in poor condition. The mattress was in poor condition. Worst of all: the room was unbearably hot – it was only bearable with two fans switched on. The problem is that it’s hard to sleep with two fans on, and it’s also hard to sleep without them, because the temperature is unbearable. There was a lot of noise from other guests next door and upstairs. The breakfast was poor and almost all the items were packaged; even the fruit was tinned. Not a hotel to go back to.
