Alexandra at the New York Bar was amazing! She was friendly, attentive, and professional, and she made our visit extra special. Thank you for the wonderful service! Unfortunately, our arrival experience was disappointing. The gentleman at the door, whose name was Jan or Dan, repeatedly asked whether we were actually checking into the hotel. The way he questioned us felt unnecessary and came across as unwelcoming. As a brown guest, I couldn’t help but feel that I was being treated differently because of my appearance, although I can’t be certain of his intentions. Regardless of the reason, the interaction left me feeling uncomfortable and took away from what was otherwise a great experience.
