Very very very old hotel. The rooms are so old, the carpet was giving up, the furniture was older than my grandfather. And they gave us underground rooms with half windows to the streets which were dark. Said no rooms available to change, disappointed. When we got back in the evening, we saw a suspicious turd in the toilet bowl?? Like someone didn’t flush properly and none of us pooped that day, which was so creepy. Or maybe it’s the old pipes, what do I know. But we chose it for the walkable distance to the British Museum. Yes you can pop in everyday. There’re some shops and bookstores literally next street which was great.
