easyHotel South Kensington

The receptionists Andrew and Maria were friendly. But could do very little to change some of the issues. I was stupid enough to book before reading reviews. Ended up there in a heatwave. First windowless room had no air-conditioning. So literally was sealed in a small sauna with a dusty fan. Needless to say had no sleep. Size of the room wasn't so much an issue but dont book if you have lots of luggage. The bathroom is tiny and drains absolutely stunk. I had to buy some bleach. Moved rooms next night thankfully to one with air con. Air con was good when it worked. But could hear all sorts of banging from next room(not in a good way) so once again had poor sleep. There was mould in bath room. Thank fully no bedbugs that I could see. 'EasyJET' owners should hang their heads in shame. I paid 90 quid a night for something I wouldn't leave my cat in. However this seems to be the standard for affordable London accommodation. Absolutely disgraceful standards. What must foreign tourists think when they are faced with hotel standards from the middle ages? And in a Borough where I imagine the uneven and dirty paving slabs cost more each than my entire house
