The hotel’s location is perfect and very convenient. However, our experience with the staff was disappointing. We had an early flight and requested an early check-in. Initially, we were told that early check-in was not possible. Later, same staff member informed us that we could check in early by paying an extra £20 and returning around noon. When we came back ready to pay, we were told it would be £30 if paid by card and £20 only if paid in cash. Nobody had informed us about this earlier, otherwise we could have arranged cash in advance. When we explained that we did not have cash and asked if we could pay later in the evening, we were told that would be too late. The situation felt inconsistent and unprofessional, as the information kept changing. After we requested a refund, the staff member suddenly agreed to accept card payment. This gave us the impression that the extra charge was not being handled transparently. The location is excellent, but the staff communication and customer service need significant improvement.
