The Grand Mira Hotel

​Title: Great Location and Breakfast ​Overall, The Grand Mira is a great hotel. I chose it specifically for the sea-view rooms and proximity to the boardwalk, and it did not disappoint. I saw two rooms during my stay, and 5th-floor room featured a small but stunning balcony. You might wake up to the ambient sounds of birds, a passing train, or the morning call to prayer (ezan), but none of these were overwhelmingly loud. ​The breakfast buffet was excellent and abundant—far richer than the typical breakfast buffets offered at US hotels. ​Areas for improvement for management: ​Service: The staff is very respectful, but a friendlier demeanor and more smiles would go a long way. ​TV and Entertainment: The screens are too small and lack channel variety. The news options feel politically limited, there are no music channels, and adding smart features like YouTube is highly needed. ​Bathroom Design (3rd floor standard sea-view room): Every shower should have a flexible showerhead. Additionally, the main towel rack is mounted much too high. It is also impractical that the towel hanger is located away from the shower—please install hooks directly next to the shower for convenience. While the shower floor is aesthetically pleasing, it poses a slipping hazard. Please take measures to prevent any potential falls. Lastly, the bathroom needs brighter lighting, as it's currently too dim for shaving.
