DON'T BOOK DIRECT. I booked a refundable booking directly with the hotel that I could cancel at least 3 days prior to get a full refund. I emailed them to cancel but they never replied (there was no option via their booking platform) and they charged me the full amount for 2 days. I even managed to get in touch via whatsapp later but they wouldn't refund me in full or even partially (they basically blamed me for emailing them instead of using whatsapp to cancel in the first place). Eventually I got a full refund via a chargeback with Visa. I've attached photos showing the booking was refundable and you can see from the website, they only require 3 days prior for a full refund (however in their T&Cs they actually require 60 days). In a nutshell, advertises as refundable but actually isn't. Maybe the hotel is fine if you book via a 3rd party, but probably be safe to avoid
